FAQs
What should I wear?
The dress code is black tie optional. We've also had a few questions about what colors guests should wear. We do not have a color palette for our guests. Wear whatever color you'd like, as long as it's not white! The bridesmaids will be wearing champagne, if you're concerned about matching.
what is the venue like?
Ebell Long Beach is a fully indoor venue. It is air conditioned so you won’t have to worry about the August heat. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held in the same venue, though each space has a distinct vibe.
Are children allowed?
While we are not completely disallowing children, we do ask guests to leave their young children at home, especially if the child was not included on their invitation. This is an adult event and we want everyone to have a good time.
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
The venue doors will open at 5:00 pm, and the ceremony will start at 5:30. We'd suggest aiming for 5:00, but as long as you're there before 5:30, your arrival time is up to you.
We are asking all of our guests to refrain from taking pictures or videos during the ceremony. We want you to be present in the moment with us, rather than looking at a screen. We have also hired a photographer and videographer who will capture these memories for us.
Is it okay to take pictures with phones and cameras during the ceremony?
Is there parking?
There is a parking lot about a block away for guest use. For more information go to the Accommodations page.
I am coming from out of town - Where should I stay?
We have a block of rooms at the Westin Long Beach. For the booking link, more information, and alternative options, go to the Accommodations page.
